Weekend Box Office: June 29 - July 1

Two new films dominated the North American box office sending ticket sales soaring to a new record for the biggest June weekend in history! The comedy Ted and the dramedy Magic Mike both overperformed while Tyler Perry's latest effort Madea's Witness Protection delivered his usual great numbers. Overall, it was the third best weekend of 2012 as success came from several films and not from one big tentpole franchise juggernaut opening.
