Pinterest for Android has finally arrived!

Pinterest

Welcome to my first Random Android App Review.  Or RAAR for short.  On occasion (only because I can't stick to a plan when posting) I will be reviewing different apps found on Google Play that I own or have peaked my curiosity.  Please remember, that I am not a professional and I do not get paid or get any apps free from publishers, so all my reviews are completely based on a plain old normal guys point of view.

Without further ado, here is my first RAAR:

Pinterest

Love Pinterest?  Love your Android?  Can't wait until an official app is released for your device?  Well, wait no longer.  The official Pinterest app has launched!

The app is well made and looks good.  The UI is very similar to the full desktop version.  Check out the screenshots (from my phone below).

Once you log in, you can share photos directly from your camera, from links, re-pin items to your own boards, or share to any social network or storage service that supports Android's APIs. Pinterest's service is free, and if you are one of the 17 people out there who don't already have an account you can sign up within the app itself.  All these functions found in the web version, smooth interface and on launch day?  This is a pretty impressive app out of the gate.  My only "issue" would be the lack of a widget.  But, seeing as I am obsessed with widgets (or am I just too lazy to go into a folder? You decide.), I suppose you can't really fault the app for not having this function.  Maybe it will be released in a future update.

If you like (or love, in some cases) Pinterest then you will definitely need this app.  You won't be disappointed.
